Join the ACS Toledo Local Section and Heidelberg University Chemistry Club for a tour of the National Center for Water Quality Research lab located in Gillmor hall on the Heidelberg University campus. Dr. Laura Johnson will be guiding all attendees through the laboratory facilities. The NCWQR is responsible for chemical analysis of freshwater samples, biological assessment of aquatic communities, and watershed modelling. This information is used in order to understand and interpret the impact of things such as food production on soil and water resources, the status of local water quality, the effects of water quality on ecosystem health, and even studies future implications for the availability of healthy usable water.
THERE WILL BE AN ICE CREAM SOCIAL AFTER THE LAB TOUR!
