Student Chapters within Toledo Local Section

We are pleased to support local undergraduate and graduate students at colleges and universities within our geographical region.

Student Research Travel Award

The Toledo ACS Section budgets money annually to be awarded to deserving students to help them defray some of the costs associated with traveling to a Chemistry Meeting in order to present their research as a poster or talk. 

Deadlines for Student Research Travel Award application are by Feb 15  (for meetings March-June) and June 30 (for meetings July-November)  Print out and complete the application form.

 You must use current version (4_2018) of the application form; revised & uploaded to website on April 4, 2018.

2017:   The Awards Committee reviewed and made Student Research Travel Awards to 14 eligible students this spring 2017, totaling $1475.  Meetings where these students presented or will present their research include the 253rd ACS National Meeting & Exposition; the 2017 Annual Meeting of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry; PITTCON2017; 2017 ACS Central Regional Meeting (CERM 2017). 

2018:  The Awards Committee reviewed and made awards to 8 students (4 undergraduate and 4 graduate students) from 3 different area schools (Heidelberg University, University of Toledo, and Bowling Green State University) in March, totaling $1100.
